Sad News re Tony Clark
Dear KCC Members
I am so very sorry to have to convey to you the sad news of the death last
night, April 15 2010, of Tony Clark, co-founder and much-loved Chair of Kidney
Cancer Canada since its inception in 2006.
Tony was a tireless advocate for kidney cancer patients across Canada. Despite
his own considerable and mounting health challenges, Tony inspired patients
and health care professionals alike with his strength, courage, and
leadership. He will be remembered for his significant contribution to
improving the lives of those with kidney cancer.
Tony is survived by his wife Sharon, his daughters Devon, Erin, and Heather,
two brothers, Tim and Peter, and many extended relatives and friends.
The family has requested donations in lieu of flowers to Kidney Cancer Canada
(see Donations page).
On behalf of KCC, I will be speaking at Tony's memorial service this Sunday at
2 pm at The Meeting House in Oakville. Over the coming weeks, I will be
assuming his role as Chair of KCC as he had wished and had been planned. Other
KCC Board members will be assuming new leadership roles so that we continue to
see KCC flourish.
Tony: thank you for establishing KCC. We will miss you forever, but in KCC you
have left us a lasting legacy. We will continue to work to help one another
through our journey with kidney cancer. Rest in peace my friend.
With love to all,
Deb Maskens
